Middle School (6-8)
Challenging students to reach their full potential as they navigate the transition to adolescence and prepare for high school.
At All Saints Catholic School, our educational approach revolves around cultivating well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also spiritually grounded and socially responsible. Our curriculum serves as the cornerstone for preparing students not just for high school success but also for assuming leadership roles within their school community.
The heart of our middle school learning experience lies in equipping students with the necessary skills and mindset to excel in high school and beyond. We prioritize fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility towards both their studies and their school community. Through a meticulously crafted curriculum that blends national standards with Christian principles, we aim to nurture confident, critical thinkers who are adept at problem-solving and leadership.
Core Curriculum
Our core curriculum, spanning grades 6 through 8, is designed to provide a comprehensive foundation for academic excellence and personal growth. With a focus on subjects such as Algebra, Literature, Mathematics, Physical Education, Science, Social Studies, Technology, Visual Arts, and Writing, students are exposed to a diverse range of disciplines that enrich their learning journey.
Personalized Attention & Support
By maintaining a conducive student-teacher ratio, we ensure personalized attention and support that facilitates advanced learning and individualized growth. Through this holistic approach to education, students not only acquire academic proficiency but also develop the character traits and values necessary to become compassionate leaders and stewards of their school community.
Middle schoolers experience tremendous spiritual growth while at All Saints. Grade 8 allows the opportunity to participate in the sacrament of Confirmation and the May Crowning ceremony honoring Mary.
Quiz Bowl
Quiz bowl for middle schoolers is an engaging and educational competition where students test their knowledge across a wide range of subjects, including history, science, literature, and mathematics. Teams of students compete by answering questions quickly and accurately, fostering teamwork and encouraging a love for learning. These competitions help students develop critical thinking skills, improve their recall abilities, and gain confidence in their academic knowledge.
Student Leadership
Student leadership plays a crucial role in shaping our school community, as students collaborate with teachers and administration to organize school-wide meetings, prayer services, pep rallies, and holiday events. Eighth graders, in particular, take on significant responsibilities as the older siblings of the school, guiding and supporting their peers.
Intermediate Band
Our intermediate band program offered to students in grades 6 through 8 allows for a unique opportunity to explore and develop their musical talents in a collaborative and supportive environment. Through comprehensive instruction in various instruments, students learn to read music, understand rhythm, and perform as part of an ensemble.
Participation in the band fosters a sense of accomplishment and builds lifelong skills that extend beyond the classroom, including enhanced concentration, improved social interactions, and a deeper appreciation for the arts.
Memorable Adventures
Our students also embark on memorable adventures, fostering independence and maturity.
6th and 7th graders have the opportunity to attend an outdoor learning camp that focuses on team-building, outdoor education and challenging themselves while spending time away from home.
8th grade culminates in an unforgettable 8th-grade trip to Washington, D.C. Students are able to enjoy a trip to Gettysburg, PA, Mount Vernon, various museums and historical sites in our Nation’s capital.
Legacy Ceiling Tile
8th grade students leave their legacy at All Saints through an artistic contribution in the Art room. This final, joyfilled collaboration has created a truly special piece of art that commemorates this unique moment in their lives, and will always serve as a reminder of the great spirit and many contributions of the class.
This group of students took inspiration for their ceiling tile from the work of renowned Brazilian artist Romero Britto.
At All Saints Catholic School, we believe that the journey through middle school is more than just academic advancement—it’s about instilling a sense of purpose, resilience, and service that will guide our students towards success in high school and beyond.
